PHL consulate probes rape of OFW in Saudi Arabia

Philippine officials in Saudi Arabia are now investigating the alleged rape of an overseas Filipino worker by the grandchild of her employer. A report on GMA News’ “24 Oras" said the OFW escaped from her employer and sought help at the Philippine Consulate in Jeddah.
The OFW, who the report said hails from General Santos City in Mindanao, said the grandson of her employer dragged her to the bathroom and assaulted her while her employer was asleep. She said the grandson even threatened to kill her if she told anyone about what happened. — JE, GMA News
