Cancer-stricken OFW heads home after 25 years in KSA
After spending at least 25 years in Saudi Arabia, a cancer-stricken overseas Filipino worker is finally heading home for the Philippines. Josephine Muyco, 64, was due to arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to a group helping OFWs in Saudi Arabia. Espiritu also asked the government to provide livelihood and financial aid to OFWs like Muyco, who is suffering from Stage 4 cancer. He said OFWs like Muyco âdeserve more help" due to their contributions to the economy. Espiritu likewise pushed for mandatory insurance especially for undocumented OFWs. But in Muycoâs case, he said the least President Benigno Aquino III can do is to at least make her happy with a little attention.
