Weather: Rain showers loom over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao

Rain showers and thunderstorms loom over parts of Palawan, the Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Thursday afternoon. In its 5 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said this is due to an inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting the Visayas and Mindanao. "Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening," it said. PAGASA said that light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon, the Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over Mindanao.
