1 killed, 200 families affected in Rizal fire

At least one person was reported killed in a fire that hit a residential area in Taytay town in Rizal province Saturday night. The fire started past 10 p.m. at the Torres compound in Meralco village, according to a Tweet by volunteer firefighter group TXTFire. The fire reached the third alarm before firefighters put it under control past 11 p.m., according to a separate report on dzBB radio Sunday. It said 200 families were affected in the fire.
