Vehicles stuck on CamSur highway due to 'Ironman'

An ongoing international Ironman triathlon is trying not only the endurance of participating athletes but also the patience of motorists passing through Camarines Sur. Camarines Sur police chief Senior Superintendent Procopio Lipana on Sunday said many vehicles were "stranded" as a part of the Maharlika Highway was closed. "Sinara ang kalye dahil idinadadaos ang Ironman hosted by the provincial government ng Camarines Sur," he said in an interview on dzBB radio. But he said the provincial government and organizers had already placed streamers in the area notifying motorists of the event. He said the part of the highway would be closed until at least 11 a.m. Sunday. "Sa ngayon pagpaumanhin ng taumbayan, hanggang 11 nakasarado ang kalye (We ask for understanding from the public.
