Pinoy menswear designer bags fashion award in UK

A Filipino menswear designer is earning praise from the international community after he topped in a recently concluded fashion-design competition in the United Kingdom.

Shaun Samson beat at least seven other finalists in the International Talent Support Prize in Trieste in Italy, according to a report on GMA News TV’s “Good News."


The report said Samson was born in the United States but was trained in the UK. He has since won praise from peers in the fashion industry for his simple designs and use of unique materials.

Samson’s works will be on display at the London Fashion Week this September, the report also said. — JE, GMA News
