Weather: Rain showers over NCR, Central Luzon

Rain showers fell on parts of southern Luzon, Metro Manila and Central Luzon before noon Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. In its Twitter account, PAGASA recorded rain showers over Batangas and Lipa Cities (Batangas); and Dasmariñas and Buenavista, Maragundon, Trece Martires, Naic and Tagaytay (Cavite). While PAGASA earlier said rain over Metro Manila would be likely in the afternoon, several areas in the National Capital Region experienced rain in the morning. It said rains were also noted over Calamba (Laguna) and Muntinlupa City; as well as Taguig, Parañaque and Pateros, Makati, and Fort Bonifacio. Also in Metro Manila, rain fell over Quiapo and Baclaran. Rain likewise fell on Antipolo City and Cainta and San Mateo (Rizal), PAGASA said. Marikina and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport also experienced rain before noon, it added. PAGASA added rain also fell on Central Luzon, including Cabanatuan (Nueva Ecija), and Olongapo and Subic (Zambales). Even Camiling (Tarlac) experienced moderate rain showers, PAGASA said. — RSJ, GMA News
