Monster PH rolls out Android app for job seekers, employers

Monster, an online career and recruitment solutions provider in the Philippines, has announced the launch of its Android applications for both employers and job seekers. Keeping in mind the lifestyle of young working professionals, Monster’s new mobile applications aim to provide consumers with an on-the-go platform to scout and apply for job opportunities at their convenience. To further strengthen its penetration in the mobile space, Monster Philippines has also launched a new employer/recruiter interface on its WAP portal. Monster’s Android application can be downloaded for free on the Google Android marketplace. The application has all the features and services which are present in Monster.com.ph, but gives users the choice to choose the way they want to search for their next job opportunity. The WAP portal for employers will help them to search, shortlist, reach out, and interact with prospective candidates. They can also post, renew, and manage job postings. Sanjay Modi, managing director of Monster.com (India/ Middle East/ South East Asia) said, “Our Android application and WAP portal for job search are a direct outcome of consumer feedback we’ve received, which pointed to an increasingly active and mobile lifestyle that necessitated the need for a mobile version of our job search capabilities. “Today the mobile handset and smartphone market is growing at an exponential pace, and the Android platform is at the top of the heap – with analysts expecting it to overtake all existing mobile platforms by 2012. Based on the future potential of the Android platform, the new Monster app provides a huge opportunity for us to tap into even more job seekers and in an element that they are naturally gravitating towards more and more often," he added. — Newsbytes.ph
