Household helper reported missing in Mandaluyong fire

A household helper was reported missing following a predawn fire that hit a house in the Bagong Silangan area in Mandaluyong City Tuesday. House owner Ramon Jarencio said he could not find his helper, who he identified only as Christy, radio dzBB's Paulo Santos reported. The fire started at Jarencio's house at 4 Lawson Street at about 3:30 a.m. Volunteer firefighter group TXTFire said the fire reached the second alarm. Firefighters placed the fire under control at 4:55 a.m., even as TXTFire said the fire was declared out at 5:34 a.m. Jarencio told arson investigators they were awakened when neighbors shouted at them that their house was on fire. He said they managed to get out of the house, but he could not find "Christy." — RSJ, GMA News
