Authorities raid shabu laboratory in QC

Authorities on Monday night raided a shabu laboratory in Quezon City allegedly owned by a detained drug suspect. On Tuesday, National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said the raided apartment was located at No. 90 Dangay Street corner Bansalangin Street in Barangay Veterans. The "mini shabu clandestine lab" was reportedly owned by a certain Rong Xi alias William Sy, who was nabbed earlier in a buy-bust operation. The property was raided by virtue of a search warrant issued by Quezon City Regional Trial Court Acting Executive Judge Fernando Sagun Jr. Carrying out the raid were combined elements of the PNP and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. Seized from the drug laboratory were paraphernalia and chemicals used in making methampethamine hydrochloride (shabu), Ephedrine, and flasks. — Mark Merueñas/RSJ, GMA News
