US financial problems also an 'opportunity,' says PSE investor


From an initial investment of P5,000, retail stock investor Catherine Estacio has earned at least P150,000 since she started investing in the stock market in 2007. Based on the Philippine Stock Exchange Market (PSE) Profile 2010, 36.7 percent of investors earn over P1 million annually. Those earning between P500,000 to P1 million made up over a third of the retail investors, while those earning less than P500,000 annually accounted for 29.1 percent of retail investors, according to the PSE. The PSE also said 42.7 percent of retail investors are aged 45 to 59, while 31.2 percent are 30 to 44. — PE/VS, GMA News
