Road repairs to affect Metro Manila traffic during 'long weekend'

Traffic in at least 14 major roads in Metro Manila are expected to be affected when the Department of Public Works and Highways (DWPH) conducts its four-day road maintenance works during the coming "long weekend." The DPWH said road reblocking in these areas will begin from Saturday (August 27) and will end Tuesday next week (August 30). Malacañang earlier declared August 29 and 30 as regular holidays in observance of the National Heroes' Day and Eid’l Fitr or the end of the holy month of Ramadan, respectively. One lane per area will be closed to traffic on the said dates, the DPWH said. Road reblocking will be undertaken in the following areas: - Edsa - Ayala (Southbound)
