44 bridges, road sections impassable due to ‘Mina’


At least 44 bridges and road sections in parts of Luzon remained impassable as of Sunday afternoon due to typhoon "Mina" (Nanmadol), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said. In its 1:30 p.m. update, the NDRRMC also said 25 passengers in Sta. Ana, Cagayan remained stranded and staying at bunk houses in Maconacon and Calayan. The NDRRMC said the affected roads and bridges include:

  • NCR (1): - Bridge at Brgy. Silangan, Quezon City, due to crack at riprap
  • Ilocos Norte (12): - Manila North Road, km 482 km 482-500, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, not passable to light vehicles, 0.6 meter underwater - Manila north Road, km 574+600, Manayon Section, Bangui, one lane passable - Manila North Road, km 557+558, Tarrag Section, one lane passable - Manila North Road -km 472-km-473+500, Garasgas Bridge to Billoca Section, Batac, not passable, 1.20 meters underwater - Pias-Currimao-Paoay-Balacad Rd. Paoay Section, not passable to light vehicles - Panaga road, Laoac, not passable - Brgy. Estancia, Piddig, not passable - Sitio Duro, Brgy. 37-A Casilian, Bacarra, not passable - Brgy. Camanga,Badoc connecting Brgys. Barangobong and Uguis in Nueva Era, not passable to light vehicles - Brgys.   • La Union (3): - San Fernando-Bagulin Road, km 273 - km 274 - Agoo-Baguio Road - (Matanobong Section, Agoo); (Francia Sur Section,Tubao); (Tavora section, Pugo), one lane passable - Damosil Bridge, impassable
  • * Pangasinan (3): - Pangasinan Sub-Urdaneta Jct-Dagupan Road - km 199+300 - 199+600 (Banauang Section, Sta.   • Kalinga (1): - Gonogon Section (km. 482+060), open to light vehicles only Meanwhile, the NDRRMC said "Mina" has so far affected 27,670 families or 108,788 people in 281 villages in 40 towns and three cities in 11 provinces. Of these, 1,903 families or 9,107 people are being served in 46 evacuation centers. The death toll remained at seven, while 10 were injured and six were missing.
