Filipinos in Brazil have expressed support for Philippine bet Shamcey Supsup in the Miss Universe pageant in September. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said "Filipinos in different states of Brazil have expressed their desire to take time off from their busy schedule and travel to Sao Paulo to cheer for Ms. Supsup." Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Eva Betita personally met Filipino community leaders and Supsup, who visited Sao Paulo on August 24, the DFA said.
