Suspect in killing of Dolphy’s grandson in 2004 nabbed

After nearly seven years of hiding from authorities, a suspect in the fatal shooting of the grandson of comedian Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon was nabbed in Quezon City on Tuesday, police said Wednesday. Mark Kevin Lapuz, 25, was arrested by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group operatives in his hideout in Barangay Talipapa in Novaliches around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, CIDG chief Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr. said in a report Wednesday. Lapuz is one of the suspects in the killing of Jerome Carlo Quizon, who was shot on Dec. 18, 2004 after attending a Mass in La Loma, Quezon City. Two other suspects in the killing, Jerome Flores and Alger Magdaraog, were caught immediately after the incident. — Andreo Calonzo/RSJ, GMA News
