Barangay kagawad shot dead in Maguindanao

A village official was shot dead by a still unidentified attacker in the southern Philippine province of Maguindanao, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Saturday. PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr identified the victim as Leo Galangan, a 42-year-old barangay (village) councilor of Barangay Kuya in South Upi town. The shooting incident happened at Sitio Guila-Guila in Barangay Kuya at about 9:30 p.m. of Saturday.
