Fire razes 30 houses in Cebu City

Some 50 families lost their homes after a fire of undetermined origin razed at least 30 houses in Cebu City last Saturday. Arson investigators estimated the fire destroyed some P300,000 in property, according to a report on dzXL radio. An initial investigation showed the fire at Guadalupe village started at the house of the Pantonal family and spread quickly. The dzXL report quoted Victor Pantonal, owner of the burned house, as saying they were out of the house when the fire broke out. — LBG, GMA News
