Three dead, 2 wounded in QC shooting incident

At least three people, including a Commission on Audit lawyer and a City Hall worker, were killed in a shooting incident in Quezon City Sunday night. Two people were also wounded in the incident at the corner of San Simon and Sto. Domingo Streets in Brgy. Holy Spirit at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, radio dzBB reported Monday. Police are now tracking down the motorcycle-riding men who shot the three, as well as figure out the motive for the incident, but dzBB's Allan Gatus reported investigators remained mum on what they have learned so far.

The report cited initial information identifying the fatalities as COA legal officer Rizal Cimatu; Quezon City Hall employee Edwin Tating; and Napoleon Aquino. Cimatu and Tating were killed on the spot while Aquino was declared dead on arrival at the East Avenue Medical Center, the report said. It did not identify the wounded persons. An initial investigation showed the three men arrived aboard three motorcycles and opened fire on the victims while they were having a drinking spree. — RSJ, GMA News
