Two suspected car thieves killed in shootout in Laguna

Two suspected car thieves were killed in an alleged shootout with local policemen in Laguna early on Tuesday morning. Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said the encounter happened while members of the local police were conducting their regular "Oplan Sita" and "Oplan Galugad" in Biñan City. The shootout between policemen and the two still unidentified suspects erupted at a checkpoint along Diversion Road near Amordon Subdivision at Barangay Canlalay in Biñan City, Cruz added. Recovered from the suspects were two cal-38 revolvers and two allegedly stolen motorcycles, he said. - VVP, GMA News
