Call center agent killed in predawn road accident

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Pasig City shortly after midnight Tuesday, radio report said Wednesday. The victim, believed to be a call-center agent, was crossing the street when a Mazda hit her, radio dzBB's Paulo Santos reported. Sketchy initial reports showed the incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on Ortigas Avenue in Pasig City. At the time, the victim was crossing the street when a speeding red Mazda vehicle hit her and did not stop. The victim was killed on the spot, the report said. Police said witnesses they initially interviewed did not get the license plate number of the vehicle. Investigators are now trying to get closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the area to get leads on the vehicle, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
