Oil firms to slash prices Tuesday


A number of oil firms will rollback prices of their petroleum products starting Tuesday, GMA News TV’s “State of the Nation" newscast reported Monday.
For the latest Philippine news stories and videos, visit GMANews.TV Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Total Philippines Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. will slash the per-liter price of premium gasoline, unleaded gasoline, and kerosene by P0.50, according to the “State of the Nation" report. The newscast said these firms will also implement a P0.20-rollback on diesel and regular gasoline products. Chevron Philippines Inc. will slash its premium and unleaded gasoline prices by P0.50, its diesel and regular gasoline prices by P0.20, and its kerosene prices by P0.50, the newscast added. It also reported that Eastern Petroleum Corp. will rollback by P0.50-per liter its premium unleaded gasoline of Eastern Petroleum, and a P0.25-per liter its diesel and kerosene products. Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. will slash its gasoline prices by P0.35, and the price of its diesel by P0.20 starting 6 a.m. Tuesday, the newscast added. Meanwhile, Malacañang is mulling on the possibility of implementing its Pantawid Pasada program anew to help motorists cope with rising petroleum prices, “State of the Nation" said. — PE/VS, GMA News
