Flash-capable browser for Apple iOS autoloads videos

Good news for owners of Apple's iPad devices: the Skyfire browser that goes around Apple Inc.'s "ban" on Adobe Flash videos has been updated to load videos automatically. Skyfire, which released version 2.6.0 of its Flash-playing browser Tuesday, said a user no longer needs to request that Skyfire search for video by clicking on the Video icon in the Skyfire toolbar. "If a video is available, Skyfire will deliver the video pop-up for easy OneTouch play! - Additionally, we wanted to let you know that we are working on an even more significant, feature rich product update which will be coming soon," read a description of the updated browser on Apple's App Store. Skyfire said a page with a broken Flash video icon can be resolved by touching the video icon to see if Skyfire can detect the Flash video. Other updates include the fixing of an issue where the custom homepage URL will no longer periodically reset back to Skyfire default homepage. A separate article on AppAdvice.com said Skyfire has been one of the top-selling browser apps for the iPad. It said earlier versions of the browser allows Adobe Flash videos on Apple’s tablet but users first needed to click on the “Videos" icon to find whatever videos were available on the page they were viewing. The Skyfire browser is available for $4.99 in the App Store. — TJD, GMA News
