5 die in 3-vehicle smashup in Negros

The police said five people died in a three-vehicle smashup in Victorias City, Negros Occidental on Thursday. Supt. Alexander Muñoz of the Victorias City police force said three vehicles were involved in the accident: a motorcycle, tricycle, and a truck. He said three of the victims died on the spot while two others were declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Muñoz said, "itong topdown (motorcycle) mabilis ang takbo niya, bumunggo sa tricycle na nauna, kinuha niya yung kasalubong na lane nung truck, yung truck binunggo yung sidecar niya, kaya natamaan sila." He said "kung titingnan sa linya ng kalsada may kasalanan yung tricycle pero binunggo siya nung truck, liable pa rin yung truck kasi siya ang hitting vehicle." - VVP, GMA News
