DOLE: Cyberservice jobs in high demand

High-demand and high-paying jobs are available for Filipinos in the cyber-service sector, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said. DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said salaries in this industry range from P13,000 to P40,000 a month, and may go up to P50,000 a month for highly trained workers. “It takes only three to six months of apprenticeship/learnership to obtain knowledge and skills about these jobs, but I advise jobseekers who are armed with these courses to train, pick-up very good communication skills, and a serious work ethic to be able to land a job," Baldoz said. She said the high-demand and high-paying jobs in the cyberservices industries include:

  • web developers
  • network engineers
  • computer programmers
  • program analysts
  • systems analysts
  • technical support representatives
  • software engineers.
The cyberservices sector may even have jobs that require only a short time of study, she said. These include:
  • online web marketing (search engine operation)
  • online copy writing (content writing)
  • legal transcription
  • online office suite
  • web development solution
  • technical drafting.
Cyber-services are highlighted in the "101 Career Guide," a comprehensive list of 101 careers that would lead to jobs expected to be in demand in the next 10 years. In turn, cyber-services are among the country's key employment generating sectors (KEGS). Other KEGS include:
