PAL cancels flight to Japan due to bad weather

Citing bad weather conditions in Japan, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) canceled its flight from Manila to Narita on Wednesday afternoon. PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna also said a separate PAL flight to Nagoya was delayed for at least 30 minutes. "Sa lahat na pasahero papuntang Narita, Japan at 2:30, ang PR-432 Manila-Narita departing 2:30, pinapaalam namin ang flight ay canceled," she said in an interview on dzBB radio Wednesday noon. "Dahil (ito) sa weather condition for today," she explained. Areas in Japan are under threat from tropical cyclone "Roke," which had entered and reentered Philippine territory (as "Onyok") earlier this month. Villaluna said passengers of the canceled flight may be accommodated in a separate flight, PR-4327, at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday.
