PNP: 2 UAE pilots hurt in plane crash in Bulacan

Two pilots from the United Arab Emirates were hurt after the aircraft they were flying crash-landed in Bulacan shortly before Wednesday noon. In a text message to reporters, Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said the identities of the two pilots were not immediately available as of posting time. Likewise, it could not be ascertained if the victims were student pilots. An initial investigation said the Cessna plane of the AMA Air with body number RPC-7087 crash- landed at a rice field in Barangay Penabatan in Pulilan town at about 11:50 a.m. The two pilots were rushed to a local hospital and currently undergoing treatment. A similar incident happened last May in Plaridel town, also in Bulacan, when a flight instructor and his Arabian student were injured after their trainer plane-crashed in a rice field. Similar incidents recently happened in Pangasinan in May and in Isabela in June involving trainer aircraft. Three people, including an Iranian national, were hurt in the Isabela incident, while an Indian student pilot was hurt in Pangasinan after the plane skidded at the runway. — RSJ, GMA News
