16-year-old in Pampanga mall shooting dies

The 16-year-old boy who was shot inside a mall in Pampanga province last Tuesday succumbed to his gunshot wound before midnight Wednesday, a radio report said. A report on dzBB radio early Thursday quoted Pampanga police as saying the boy was declared dead at about 11:30 p.m. Police learned of the death via a text message from the 16-year-old's father, the report said. His remains were brought to Baliuag in Bulacan, the dzBB report added. The 16-year-old had been shot by his 13-year-old "lover" last Tuesday inside the SM Pampanga mall. The 13-year-old died Wednesday afternoon and had donated his kidney and cornea. Both boys had been declared brain dead shortly after the shooting. Tuesday’s shooting came a week after a woman entered an SM mall in Quezon City and shot her husband and tried to shoot herself. A guard who tried to stop her was shot and killed instead, while the husband eventually succumbed to his gunshot wound. — RSJ, GMA News
