A security guard was wounded after a group of seven armed men forcibly entered a motor pool of the Victory Liner bus firm in Tarlac and set fire to 12 buses over the weekend. A staff from the bus firm's head office in Caloocan City said an official statement has yet to be issued pending the results of the an investigation. The staff, however, requested not to be identified for lack of authority to speak on the matter. Capas town police head Superintendent Felix Verbo said Monday they are still determining the motive of the attack at about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. "Wala namang extortion demand ang group kaya di natin masabi ang motive ng suspect," he said in an interview over radio dzBB. Verbo said the injured security guard, whom he did not name, was already out of danger and had been discharged from the hospital. "May isang natamaan ng stray bullet kasi isa sa suspect nagpapaputok ng baril. Nag-ricochet, tinamaan ang security guard sa kaliwang kamay. nakalabas na kagabi," he said. - VVP, GMA News
