SWS: Aquino's ratings now back to 'very good' category
President Benigno Simeon Aquino III's satisfaction ratings have gone back to the "very good" category, after seven of 10 Filipinos surveyed expressed satisfaction with his performance, a new poll of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) said. SWS, which released its findings Monday on media partner BusinessWorld, said Aquino's new rating was six percent higher than his 64 percent rating in June. The results of the survey conducted September 4 to 7 meant a 10-point gain in Aquino's net satisfaction rating to a âvery good" +56 (percent satisfied minus percent dissatisfied) from Juneâs âgood" +46. In contrast, only 14 percent were not satisfied with Aquino's performance. This figure is four percentage points lower than the 18 percent "not satisfied" rating Aquino received in June. The SWS said net satisfaction scores of +70 and above as âexcellent"; +50 to +69, âvery good"; +30 to +49, âgood"; +10 to +29, âmoderate", +9 to -9, âneutral"; -10 to -29, âpoor"; -30 to -49, âbad"; -50 to -69, âvery bad"; -70 and below, âexecrable." Improvement in Balance Luzon Aquinoâs rating increased significantly in Balance Luzon, where his net satisfaction rating rose by 22 percentage points to a âvery good" category of +63 (74 percent satisfied, 10 percent dissatisfied). In the previous quarter, Aquino's rating in Balance Luzon was only under the âgood" category at +41 (60 percent satisfied, 19 percent dissatisfied). In the Visayas and Mindanao, Aquino still received âvery good" ratings at +52 (70 percent satisfied, 18 percent dissatisfied) and +55 (68 percent satisfied, 14 percent dissatisfied), respectively. While there was a two-percentage point drop in Metro Manila, the result remained in the âgood" category at +41 (61 percent satisfied, 20 percent dissatisfied).
