Emirati gets 10 years for kidnapping, molesting Pinay

A 28-year-old United Arab Emirates (UAE) resident was sentenced to 10 years in jail Sunday for abducting and molesting a Filipina cleaner in November last year, Khaleej Times said. The report said the Dubai Court of First Instance found the Emirati guilty of kidnapping the Filipina after posing as a law enforcer and luring her into his car. The Emirati was also convicted for impersonating as a public officer and theft. The Filipina hotel cleaner, 26,said she was waiting at a bus stop in Jumeirah in November last year when the Emirati pulled over and introduced himself to the Filipina as a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer. When the woman said she did not have her ID with her, the Emirati, who was jobless, told her to step into his car to go to the police department, Khaleej Times said. However, instead of going to the police station, the man parked the car under a tree, told the woman to undress, before molesting her, the report said. The woman was unable to call for help because the man took her mobile phone and also stole Dh100 from her purse.
