Report: Farmer beheaded in Negros Occidental

A search continues for the head of a farmer who was killed and beheaded in Binalbagan town in Negros Occidental province last weekend. Police are also tracking down one of the two suspects in the killing of Florencio Ajeto, 51, in Sitio Tibak, Brgy. Santol, Binalbagan, Sunday. The victim's head remained missing since the incident, news site Visayan Daily Star reported. Now in police custody is Moises Guardario, 36. His brother Guillermo, 34, remains at large. An initial police investigation showed Ajeto and the two suspects had a drinking spree at the suspects' house before the incident. When Ajeto fell asleep, the suspects stabbed him several times before beheading him. Moises was detained at the Binalbagan police jail but vehemently denied participation in the brutal killing. Police expect to file murder charges against the two suspects next week. — LBG, GMA News
