PAL extends NCR ticket office hours, sets up help desks

As it continues efforts to normalize its operations amid a sudden work stoppage by some of its ground crew, flag carrier Philippine Airlines has extended the office hours of its ticket offices in Metro Manila until October 7. PAL also set up help desks to assist passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 (NAIA2), where PAL operates many of its flights. In an announcement on its Facebook page, the flag carrier said PAL Ticket Offices in Metro Manila have extended their office hours from now until October 7, with the following operating hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Makati and Cubao Ticket offices only

“The NAIA Terminal 2 PAL ticket office is open daily from 2 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.," PAL said. Also, PAL set up Airport help desks at NAIA 2 (Domestic and International departure areas) for “rebooking, transfers and endorsement to other airlines." “All pertinent fees and charges due to flight cancellations, rebooking and refunds are waived," it said in a separate Facebook announcement. PAL began to out source its three non-core businesses in a bid to cut costs. Before the spinoff, however, ground crew union members protesting the move started a work stoppage last Tuesday.
