EDSA MRT 3 resumes operations, but only from Shaw to Taft

Hours after being forced to stop due to a problem with its signaling system, the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 partially resumed operations Saturday afternoon. "MRT-3 half-line operation (between) Shaw Boulevard and Taft and vice-versa resumed since 3:30 p.m. North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard vice versa still testing," Light Rail Transit Authority spokesman Hernando Cabrera said via Twitter. Cabrera initially said a power failure affected the MRT-3's automatic signaling system. The MRT-3 links North Avenue (Quezon City) to Taft Avenue (Pasay City).
