Typhoon Quiel moving away from PHL
Typhoon Quiel (Nelgae) is now over the West Philippine Sea and moving away from the Philippines, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. In its 11 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said Quiel was estimated at 290 km west of Baguio City as of 10 a.m., with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. PAGASA said Quiel was forecast to move west at 20 kph and is expected to be 500 km west of Baguio City Sunday evening. Under Storm Signal No. 1 are:
