Two Pakistani guards on trial for raping Pinay in UAE

Two Pakistani security guards went on trial before a United Arab Emirates (UAE) court on Thursday for allegedly raping a Filipina waitress in July this year, a report of Khaleej Times said. The report said the two security guards, aged 29 and 35, allegedly took turns in raping the 30-year-old Filipina while threatening to hurt her with a pair of sharp scissors at around 11:00 a.m. on July 9. The police arrested the two accused men in their apartment at around 5:00 p.m. on the same day. Both men reportedly admitted they raped the waitress, Khaleej Times said. According to the victim, one of the two suspects approached her, holding a catalogue of photos and claiming that he worked in the advertising and fashion business. The suspect reportedly offered to take her photos and publish them in magazines. Although the Filipina refused his offer, the man reportedly insisted on taking her to his nearby "office" which turned otu to be a residential flat, the report said. Once inside the flat, the suspect allegedly prevented the victim from leaving and pushed her onto a sofa-bed and forced her to have sex with him, threatening to hurt her with a pair of scissors if she refused. After the rape, the man called the other suspect who was hiding in the bathroom, Khaleej Times said. Both men allegedly ignored her pleas to be left alone and repeatedly raped her, then released her after promising not to file a complaint. The victim's roommate reported the incident to the police after seeing the Filipina crying and shaking when she got home. Khaleej Times said the DNA samples of semen stains found on the victim matched those of the defendants. - VVP, GMA News
