10 Pinoy seafarers from hijacked vessel arrive home

Ten Filipino seafarers kept captive by pirates for about seven months finally arrived home in the Philippines over the weekend. The 10 arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 9 a.m. on a Qatar Airways QR-648 flight, radio dzBB reported Sunday. DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez said the seafarers were in good physical condition, the report added. According to the DFA, the 10 were aboard the Panamanian-flagged and Greek-owned bulk carrier MV Dover, which pirates hijacked off Oman last Feb. 28.
