PHL bet is Miss Congeniality at Princess of the World tilt

The Philippines' bet bagged the "Miss Congeniality" award at the "Princess of the World" competition in the Czech Republic, the Philippine Embassy in Prague reported. Diana Sunshine Rademann earned the votes of her fellow candidates at the pre-pageant night and from judges during the Gala Night. "Rademann made it to the nine semi-finalists, and was also in the top three best-in-talent portion where she danced 'pasikat sa baso,' a Philippine folk dance. Ms. Hungary was voted Best in Talent," the embassy said. According to the embassy, Rademann is a third-year college student taking up BS Biology in Palawan. She is of Philippine and German parentage. Miss Mexico was crowned Ms. Princess of the World followed by runners-up Miss Slovakia and Miss Vietnam. Rademann paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Evelyn Garcia at her official residence on October 2. The "Princess of the World" tilt was held at the Top Hotel Praha on October 1. Czech celebrities, businessmen, members of the Diplomatic Corps and national representatives from each participating country comprised the Board of Judges, the embassy said. At the Gala presentation, the contestants showed their beauty, poise and form in the national costumes, long gowns and swimsuits. The international contest is open to girls from 16 to 23 years old who possess beauty, good communication skills, natural charm and a good knowledge of computers. — LBG, GMA News
