Cebu Pacific cancels 4 more flights to Visayas, Mindanao


Air carrier Cebu Pacific canceled Tuesday four more flights with destinations in Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, citing bad weather conditions there. This brought to at least eight the number of flights the carrier had canceled for the day due to bad weather. It said the latest canceled flights included:

  • 5J-785 and 5J-786: Manila to Butuan and back
  • 5J-711 and 5J-712: Manila to Catarman and back Visayas and Mindanao are under threat from Tropical Depression Ramon, which state weather forecasters may intensify into a tropical storm. Earlier, Cebu Pacific canceled four flights due to bad weather:
  • 5J-205 and 5J-206: Cebu to Cagayan de Oro and back
  • 5J-767 and 5J-768: Manila to Surigao and back Cebu Pacific said affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. It said the affected passengers may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Fund without penalties. — RSJ, GMA News
