DepEd: Kinder, elementary classes suspended in Dinagat Islands

Classes in the kindergarten and elementary levels were suspended in the Dinagat Group of Islands in Mindanao Tuesday due to the threat posed by Tropical Depression Ramon. The Department of Education said the provincial government ordered the suspension of classes due to Ramon. "Dinagat Islands: Provincial government suspends classes in kindergarten and elementary today, Oct 11, due to tropical depression 'Ramon,'" it said on its Twitter account. The DepEd supervises classes in the preschool, kindergarten, elementary and high school levels. The Dinagat Group of Islands was among the areas in Mindanao placed under Storm Signal No. 1 by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
