Free health check, legal consultation in Maryland

The Migrant Heritage Commission (MHC) will hold its annual free health screening, as well as medical and legal consultations on November 5 this year from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Maryland. Those who would like to avail of the free health screening are advised not to take meals before taking a cholesterol and sugar check-up. To register, those interested may call call MHC : 202-247-0117 or 202-631-8856 or 703-273-1196 or email migrantheritage@gmail.com The free services will be provided under MHC's "Healthcare Support Program" in partnership with the Alexandria Asian-American Lions Club (AAALC) , Philippine Nurses Ass’n of DC and MD and the Fil-Am Ministry of St. Michael with the support of volunteer doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals from the Phil. Medical Association, Ilocano Society of America Inc. (ISA) and other organizations. Meanwhile, the free legal and Immigration Consultation will be carried out under MHC’s Legal Resource Program together with volunteers lawyers from the Law Office of Valera and Associates and other institutions. - GMA News
