Fire hits Binondo campus of maritime school in Manila

Despite rain in the area, a fire of undetermined origin hit the Philippine Maritime Institute in Manila's Binondo district Wednesday night. Firefighters declared the blaze under control several minutes past 11 p.m. Firefighters had difficulty getting to the scene because of the narrow streets, according to a report by radio dzBB's Roland Bola. No one was initially reported injured in the incident.
Volunteer firefighter group TXTFire said the fire started at about 10 p.m. and reached the fourth alarm as of 10:15 p.m. — ELR, GMA News
