Magnitude-3.1 quake rocks Isabela


A magnitude-3.1 quake rocked Cauayan in Isabela province Thursday morning, but there was no initial report of damage or casualty. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was recorded at 9:59 a.m. and was tectonic in origin. In its bulletin, it said the epicenter was 23 km southeast of Cauayan, Isabela. However, Phivolcs did not immediately cite specific areas where the quake was felt. Phivolcs said no damage or aftershock was expected from the quake. — RSJ, GMA News
