Sept. retail prices of construction materials up 4.6%

Retail prices of selected construction materials in the National Capital Region went up in September, the National Statistics Office said on Thursday. The annual growth rate rose 4.6 percent in September from 4.4 percent in August, owing to higher prices of the masonry materials index, painting materials and related compounds, and miscellaneous construction materials, the NSO said in a report. "On a monthly basis, the retail price index of selected construction materials in the NCR increased to 0.7 percent in September from 0.1 percent in August," the NSO said. — CMA/VS, GMA News
