Jobs tribute made entirely out of Mac product sounds

In what could be a fitting tribute to the late Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, a musician from New York has released a song using only sounds from Apple products. Musician AzR (pronounced Azure) mixed sound bites of Jobs' 2005 Stanford commencement speech in the song "Thank You Steve," which was posted on YouTube. "I made this song using only sounds from Apple products and Steve’s 2005 Stanford commencement speech. Every instrument, including drums, has been sampled from a Mac product, tuned by ear, and replayed in the context of the song," AzR said. The song is nearly five minutes long. A separate article on The Next Web said the sounds were sampled from Mac products including the Mac I, Mac II, PowerMac, Apple II, Mac Quadra, Mac Pro and the iPhone. Jobs, who died earlier this month, was credited for popular devices ranging from the Apple II to the Macintosh to the iPod, iPhone and iPad. To honor Jobs, California Governor Jerry Brown has declared Sunday, Oct. 16, "Steve Jobs Day." "This Sunday will be Steve Jobs Day in the State of California," Brown tweeted early Saturday (Manila time). — TJD, GMA News
