Flag carrier Philippine Airlines on Sunday resumed flights to Legazpi City in Albay and added more flights to Iloilo as it continued to normalize its operations since being hit by a wildcat strike as a result of its decision to outsource its non-core businesses. PAL also announced some of its domestic flights would operate from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 2 effective Sunday. “With the restoration of the flights to Legazpi, the flag carrier is now servicing 19 of its 20 domestic destinations. PAL has yet to resume flights to Ozamiz City," PAL said in an announcement on its Facebook page. “As the third party service providers build up and complete manpower requirements for airport services, PAL expects to mount additional flight frequencies across its various routes by November," it added. PAL said PR-277 departs from Manila to Legazpi daily at 6:30 a.m., arriving in Legazpi at 7:30 a.m. The return flight departs Legazpi at 8 a.m. and arrives in Manila at 9 a.m. PAL also added more flights to Iloilo starting Saturday:
PR141 departs Manila at 10 a.m. and arrives in Iloilo at 11:15 a.m.; PR142 departs Iloilo at 11:45 a.m. and arrives in Manila at 12:50 p.m. PR145 departs Manila at 6:50 p.m. and arrives in Iloilo at 8:05 p.m.; PR146 departs at 8:35 p.m. and arrives in Manila at 9:35 p.m. Flights to and from Iloilo were suspended from September 28 to October 2 due to “operational factors" in connection with the transition process of the spin-off/outsourcing program. On October 3, flight operations to Iloilo resumed with one flight daily to and from Iloilo. PAL said its revised flight schedule beginning October 5 allowed it to fly 95 to 105 flights daily, including 50 to 55 international flights and 45 to 50 domestic flights, covering 25 international destinations and 19 domestic points. “Passengers whose flights are not in the revised flight schedule have been endorsed to other available PAL flights or to sister company Airphil Express as well as to PAL’s international code – share partners," it said. It added passengers seeking flight information are advised to call the PAL Reservations Hotline at 855-8888, or log on to www.philippineairlines.com.
