Hacker inserts porn into Sesame Street YouTube channel

A hacker broke into the YouTube channel of children's program Sesame Street during the weekend, replacing its content with pornographic movies. The breach prompted the suspension the Sesame Street channel, with visitors getting an error message as of Monday morning (in Manila). "This channel is not available," read a message greeting visitors to the channel as of 9:30 a.m. (Manila time). Search results on YouTube for "Sesame Street" would bring up the link to the Sesame Street channel, but users can notice the accompanying thumbnail is the icon of one "MrEdxwx," who denied being the perpetrator. A blog entry on computer security firm Sophos said the hack may have exposed visitors to the porn content for about 20 minutes. The channel was then suspended for "repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines," it said. Aside from uploading pornographic videos, the hackers also changed the Sesame Street channel profile on YouTube. "WHO DOESN'T LOVE PORN KIDS? RIGHT! EVERYONE LOVES IT! IM MREDXWX AND MY PARTNER MRSUICIDER91 ARE HERE TO BRING YOU MANY NICE CONTENT! PLEASE DON'T LET SESAME STREET TO GET THIS ACCOUNT BACK KIDS :( PLEASE...LET ME AND MRSUICIDER91 HAVE IT AND WE GONNA MAKE ALL THE AMERICA HAPPY!" Sophos' blog post quoted the altered profile as saying. But "MrEdxwx" uploaded a video to YouTube denying he was behind the hack. "I did not hack Sesame Street. I am an (honest) YouTuber. I work hard to make quality gameplay videos AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I RESPECT THE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES," he said. — RSJ, GMA News
