Halloween suggestion: Japan-made mask of 'you'

Here's a creepy Halloween costume suggestion: a realistic Japan-made mask made from a 3D scan of your own facial features. The "Realface" mask by Japan's Real-f recreates a person's face using its Three-Dimension Photo Form (3DPF) technology. "(We at) REAL-f thought we could produce a life-sized, exactly the same replica as the original face with low price," REAL-F said. It said the mask can be delivered in as little as two weeks, although a head mannequin may take about three weeks. Sample photos of the product were posted on REAL-F's site. A separate article on tech site CNET said the 3DPF technique makes it possible to duplicate pores, eye's blood vessels and iris exactly the same as the originals. But for now, it said REAL-f is not yet set up to serve customers outside Japan since its personnel have to take the photos and impressions in person. It added the Realface would set one back by $4,000. — TJD, GMA News
