Elderly couple found killed in Las Piñas

Police are looking for leads into the cruel death of an elderly couple whose bodies were found inside their house in Las Piñas City Sunday afternoon. Neighbors found the bodies of Carmelita Cada, 72; and husband Gerardo, 71, inside their house at 4 p.m. Sunday, radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported Monday.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Romulo Sapitula said there was no initial sign of forced entry into the house at 246 Marcos Alvarez Avenue in Talon Uno village, indicating the killer could have been known to the victims. Sapitula cited initial reports indicating that Gerardo was a retired engineer. An initial investigation also showed there were signs the victims were killed with blows to the head. — RSJ, GMA News
