PHL execs in HK to conduct overseas voting training


To prepare for the automated polls in 2013, Philippine officials in Hong Kong have scheduled a training for overseas absentee voting (OAV) registration on October 30. An announcement on the Consulate's website said this echo training session will be held on the eve of the start of OAV registration on October. 31. "Volunteers who complete the training course may assist in the OAV registration exercise every Sunday from 31 October 2011 to 31 October 2012," it said. Philippine officials abroad are preparing to have overseas Filipino workers register so they can vote in the 2013 elections. In Hong Kong, the Consulate advised Filipinos to confirm their attendance via email or phone. They can call 2823-8534 or 2823-8525 and look for Rennie Dela Cruz or Gloria Celis, it said. - VVP, GMA News
