Three persons killed in predawn fire in Las Piñas


UPDATED 10:00 a.m. - Three people were killed while some P5 million worth of property was destroyed in a predawn fire that hit a two-story commercial-residential building in Las Piñas City on Tuesday. According to a report of radio dzBB’s Manny Vargas, the victims included a Filipino-Chinese girl, her father, and their male helper. The victims were believed trapped inside their shop that sold vehicle spare parts. The shop is located inside a six-room commercial-residential building Alvarez Street in Talon Uno village, Las Piñas. The initial investigation showed that the fire started at 1:30 a.m. and was placed under control past 3:00 a.m. On the other hand, volunteer firefighter group TXTFire’s Twitter account said the fire reached the second alarm and was put out at 6:00 a.m. - VVP, GMA News
